Paragliding in Poiana Brașov — tandem flights from Postăvaru
The resort is about 12 km from Brașov. From up there, the distance hardly matters.
For us, paragliding in Poiana Brașov means Postăvaru, the mountain above the resort: we take off near the peak and fly tandem over the ski slopes and forests. You don't need any experience — the pilot takes care of everything, and you just take a few steps.
Taking off from Postăvaru
We take off near Postăvaru Peak, at 1,600 m for The View and at 1,800 m for The Thermal and The Distance. We use the 1,800 m take-off for the longer flights, on days when conditions are right. When the wind blows from the south, we ride up on the Kanzel cable car and take off from 1,800 m.

From up there you can see Brașov, the Bucegi Mountains, Piatra Craiului, Piatra Mare, Postăvaru and the Poiana Brașov resort.

Paragliding in Poiana Brașov, winter and summer
We fly all year round — over white ski slopes in winter, over the forests of Postăvaru in summer. You can fly The View and The Thermal in every season, and The Distance only from June to August.
Flights are planned around the weather: we agree on the day together a few days in advance, and we only fly when conditions are safe. Winter has a charm of its own — see what a winter flight above Poiana Brașov is like.
How to get to the take-off point
You ride up on the lift that matches your take-off: the Drumul Roșu gondola for The View and the Kanzel cable car from the foot of the Bradul ski slope for The Thermal and The Distance. The lifts run in both summer and winter.
The ride takes about 10 minutes and drops you right at take-off — no walking needed.
During the ski season, the lift ticket is included in the price of your flight. Outside the ski season, you pay for your own ticket at the base station of the gondola or the cable car — except on The Distance, where the cable car ride is always included.
You land on your feet, with a few running steps: The View and The Thermal at the foot of the Bradul ski slope, next to the Centrul de Agrement (leisure centre); The Distance at Bunloc or near the Carrefour store. Wherever you land, the ride back to your car is on us.
Meeting point, parking and booking
We meet at the gondola base station in Poiana Brașov. Our hours: every day, 9:00 – 16:00. By appointment only.
You'll have to pay for parking near the lifts, whether you use a public car park run by Brașov City Hall (Primăria Brașov) or a private one.

Questions about the location
The meeting point is at the gondola base station in Poiana Brașov. Booking in advance is required. Please arrive 5–10 minutes before the agreed time. You'll have to pay for parking near the lifts, whether you use a public car park run by Brașov City Hall (Primăria Brașov) or a private one.
Comfortable clothes for the season, in layers, and sports shoes with a grippy sole. It's colder up there than in town, so an extra layer never hurts. Sunglasses are a good idea. We provide the helmet and the passenger harness.
Vouchers ordered on the website are paid by card, on the secure NETOPIA Payments page. If you order a voucher on WhatsApp or by phone, we send you a payment link. For a flight booked directly, without a voucher, we agree on how you'll pay when you book. Prices are in Romanian lei (RON) and include VAT.
