1 October 2025 — Bunloc chairlift closed: our flights move to Poiana Brașov
The Bunloc chairlift has closed until further notice. From 1 October 2025, all OneSky flights leave from Poiana Brașov, on Postăvaru.
As of 1 October 2025, all our flights leave from Poiana Brașov. The reason for the change: the Bunloc chairlift near Brașov, our long-time take-off point, is closed until further notice.
Poiana Brașov offers excellent flying conditions, though, and from here we fly all year round.
What this means for you
The flights go on; only the take-off point has moved. We take off from the area around Postăvaru Peak: from 1,600 m with The View and from 1,800 m with The Thermal. We meet at the gondola base station in Poiana Brașov, by appointment.

Bunloc is still on the route
Bunloc hasn't disappeared from our flights altogether: The Distance, our cross-country flight, lands at Bunloc or near the Carrefour store. For anyone who wants more of an adventure, we also offer Hike & Fly, and for now, Bunloc is the easiest place to do it.
If the chairlift reopens, we'll be back at Bunloc, of course. Until then, the story of a cross-country flight that started from Bunloc itself is still here on the blog.
